“Enlightenment is a destructive process.
It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier.
Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth.
It’s seeing through the facade of pretence.
It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.”

The witness is the part of us, viagra approved
(consciousness, gerontologist
Spirit, etc), which is able to ‘watch’ what is going on.  Noticing thoughts, feelings and sensations.  Ideally,  Awareness resides within us perhaps centered in the head or heart area of the body.  It can however, be ‘anywhere’.  Due to traumatic events we can find that the shock or overwhelming nature of an event can propel our Awareness outside of the body.  You may have heard of people in an accident who had a sense of being ‘out’ there watching the whole scene.  In some situations it doesn’t fully return and this is referred to as dissociation or Soul Loss (in the Shamanic tradition).   Additionally, various unusual situations can arise, also due to traumas, or even at key events like birth, where our Awareness for example may not fully separate from the mother.  Without going into all the possibilities perhaps it is suffice to say that it is important that we can use our Awareness not only to notice what is happening in our direct experience, but also to become clear about ‘what is me’ and ‘what is not me’.  Some highly sensitive people, who can’t differentiate ‘me’ from ‘not me’ for example,  can have trouble with experiencing sensations etc, that are not even their’s and yet be unaware of it.  It is also quite common, that most people have ‘blank’ spots which are areas where Awareness cannot go, its like the subconscious mind (contained in the body biology) has locked that part away from ‘view’,  again due to a trauma and as a sort of survival instinct memory in an attempt to protect us in the future.  These limitations, held within the subconscious, are generally creating dysfunctions, limiting beliefs and sometimes even physical illness.   In order to do any effective healing work it is important to reassociate the parts of ourselves that are out of body and being kept ‘out there’ due to trauma.  AHT’s healing techniques include fast and effective facilities for achieving this.
